Introduction

In today’s data-driven world, understanding the dynamics of employee performance and attrition is crucial for organizational success. Leveraging the IBM HR Analytics Employee Attrition & Performance dataset, I have created a comprehensive dashboard in Power BI to provide valuable insights into various HR metrics. This article explores the features and significance of each dashboard component.

Overview Dashboard

The Overview Dashboard provides a snapshot of the organization’s key metrics, including:

  • Overall Attrition Rate: Visualized to understand the percentage of employees leaving the organization.
  • Average Performance Rating: Highlights the general performance level of employees.
  • Average Monthly Income: Provides insights into the compensation structure.

Attrition Analysis Dashboard

This dashboard dives deeper into attrition rates, showcasing:

  • Heat Map: Attrition rates by department and job role.
  • Line Chart: Trend of attrition rates over time, linked with job satisfaction levels.

Performance Analysis Dashboard

Understanding performance is key to improving productivity:

  • Scatter Plot: Relationship between attrition and factors such as distance from home, job satisfaction, and overtime.
  • Histogram: Distribution of performance ratings across the organization.
  • Box Plot: Performance ratings by department and job role, combined with environment satisfaction metrics.
